Plasma has a sterilizing effect against bacteria much stronger and faster than UV and Ozone; during air sterilization, poisonous gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, xylol, cigarette smoke smells and any other type of organic odor are disrupted.

During operation there is no presence of ozone or UV rays that could be harmful to humans; this allows sterilization in the presence of people and 24/7.

VitroSteril Air products adopt modular plasma design, integrated with different purification and disinfection techniques; PM2.5 filtration obtained through the combination of primary filter, central filter, plasma module, Cumulate Clean Mass (CCM) is higher-level P4.
The elimination rate of natural spores and staphylococcus is 99.90%.

The systems are equipped with high-precision air quality detectors that display real-time data; once poor quality is detected, the system automatically starts VitroSteril Air sterilisers to effectively reduce infection, protecting the health of patients and healthcare staff. In addition, the devices can work automatically or manually.

High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, sometimes referred to as “absolute filters”, can retain 99.999% of particles of 0.3 µm.

Filtering by HEPA filters is not a simple process, but a combination of different mechanisms: inertial impact (especially for > 1 µm at high flow speeds), electrostatic retention (particles 0.5-1 µm) and diffuse retention (particles < 0.5 µm at low speed).

Air sterilisers with Photocatalytic Oxidation technology

VitroSteril Air offers a viable alternative to passive air sterilization technologies, which require air to pass through electronic filters and purifiers.

Photocatalytic Oxidation Technology Air Sterilisers sanitize environments and surfaces from bacteria, corona virus, VOC, reduces fumes, odors, pathogenic microorganisms such as dust mites. Ultraviolet light radiates a nanostructured titanium dioxide alloy, giving rise to the photocatalytic effect: the air water vapor, in contact or near the surface, turns into plasma, composed of hydrogen peroxide (oxygenated water) and oxidizing radicals, with oxidizing effect.

The transformed air, entered into the environment enriched by oxidizing agents, becomes an effective continuous sanitizing fluid and biodecontaminating that acts in a few hours destroying the microorganisms contained in the rooms and on all the surfaces with which it comes into contact, including the most hidden otherwise unreachable.

When the air, rich in oxidizing plasma generated by Photocatalytic Oxidation technology, reaches surfaces, it continues to work constantly ensuring the results of cleaning even after the evaporation of detergents and disinfectants; this happens inside the ducts and on almost all touchable surfaces (tables and counters, bathroom tiles, door handles, etc.), helping to create and maintain a healthier environment and a more lasting cleanliness.

VitroSteril Air photocatalytic reactors are installed above or directly in the air treatment device, or autonomously; there are no contraindications for humans and the environment as there are no harmful residues, nor does ventilation need before access.

A 500 Photocatalytic Oxidation Technology Filter is a model for apartments, offices, bus/train, hotels with existing pipes, to break down 24 hours a day bacteria, corona virus, VOC, mold, odors, smoke, mites, etc. It does not produce ozone.

Low-power system, installed in air ducts and air conditioners of the type split or fan coils, totally concealable, requires minimal maintenance.

The rise of multidrug-resistant organisims poses a siginificant challenge for acute hospitals. Surfacide UVC disinfection technology emits high-intensity UV-C light to disrupt the DNA and RNA of vegetative forms of bacteria, some fungi, and lipid viruses, inactivating the organisms.

How long does UV-C light take to disinfect varies depending on the size of the room and the objects in it. The closer the UV-C light tower is to the surface to be disinfected, the less time it will take. UVC intensity (irradiance) from the emitter is constant, however, as the distance from the source increases, the intensity decreases by the inverse of its square. Since UV-C light is a direct line of sight technology, multiple lines of sight reduce shadows by reaching more surfaces.
